Keristes: The ideal power-operated knee bar in terms of efficiency, precision, ergonomics and resistance.

Professor Thierry JUDET
Hôpital Raymond Poincaré GARCHES

In comparison with the mechanical elevating knee bar that I developed more than 20 years ago, the changes and enhancements are absolutely fundamental, providing maximum safety for the patient and much better work conditions for the surgeon.

The major advantages of Knee support LACROIX are:

- The device is based on the physiological nature of the lifting movement, which enables knee flexing positions to be properly adjusted.

- Tilting/transition is not possible, thus maintaining the correct position of the lower member in the sagittal plane, following accurate alignment by the built-in laser system.

- Safety distance is regularly checked between the segment and the popliteal recess, even with obese patients. This prevents the risk of compression at this point, due to a gradual sliding during the operation, observed with other systems.

- The thigh grip system can be properly adjusted, even if used with a tourniquet. The easy access to the retaining strap enables a precise handling in total asepsis conditions. This enables the creation of sufficient space to allow the garrotte to inflate, following the operator’s pressure preferences.

In most cases, this system replaces the operating assistance required to manipulate the lower member during the procedure.

There is no need for trochanteric lateral support with this process, thus eliminating the risk of compression and any rachidian repercussions.

The motorized knee support LACROIX is an ergonomic movement drive system for knee operations that enables operation without assistance. It is very easy to use. It is crucial for femur operations, due to the hyper-flexion induced by the device and the decoaptation of the gap induced by the weight of the leg in space.

Try it and you’ll want to use it.

Easy to install and works very well.
Very smooth and rapid up and down motion.
This bar positions the knee in the correct plane to define sections, when installing a knee prosthesis.Best motorized knee support.
